inStage 3: Striped Shirt!
Stage 4: Momma got a Green shirt – and Mom and Dad are now both brunettes
Stage 5: Kid’s clothes and hair filled in
Stage 6: the rest of Mom and Dad’s clothes filled in, and check out those RED FACES. Ma and Pops are MAD.

inHello All!
I thought I’d post pictures of all the basic stages of each illustration for my Trip to the Zoo children’s book. So here goes:
This image was drawn was a #2 graphite pencil, on a piece of coffee-stained bristol board.

The highlights are done in white gesso, the shadows done in burnt sienna watercolor.
